Samsung Behold SGH-T919 Review
T-Mobile has recently introduced its latest touch-screen phone called the Samsung Behold SGH T919. This phone is similar to the previously released Samsung Omnia as far as the design and the features are concerned.
Design:
Samsung Behold comes in a candy bar design which draws resemblance to Samsung Omnia and LG Dare. The camera lens located in the rear face of the phone is sleek and attractive. At the moment, the phone is available in two colours – rose and espresso. Both these phones have the same features. With the height of 4.12 inches and a width of 2.1 inches, the Behold comes across to be awfully similar to the Dare. It gives a sturdy and a comfortable feel in the hand and can easily fit in your pocket or bag. The graphics support 262,000 colours and the display is bright and vibrant. You can easily adjust the brightness and the fonts. The touch interface is intuitive and responsive. Similar to the iPhone, the display is dimmed as soon as you raise the phone to your ear. Secondly, the display also changes its orientation as you rotate the phone. Samsung Behold comes with the interactive TouchWiz interface and supports a virtual QWERTY keyboard for messaging. The main menu includes the icon-based design. It is user friendly and navigating through the menus is a breeze.
Features:
The Behold contains more than 2000 phone book records and each entry is capable of storing four numbers, instant messaging options, web site, important dates and the SIM card also holds an additional 250 contacts. The Behold is not a smartphone, but it contains all the features that are required in the high-end phones. Other important features include a vibration mode, multimedia and text messaging, calculator, calendar, alarm mode, organisers and many more. However, this phone is not Wi-Fi compatible. Nevertheless, the phone is Bluetooth compatible and comes with a USB cable for data transfer.
The 5 megapixel camera is one of the best features on the phone. The users are also capable of choosing from two resolutions that make the best of the Behold’s display. The video capturing mode offers less options compared to its still photo capturing mode. The Samsung Behold claims to have a battery life of 12.5 days as the standby time and 5 hours of talk time.
With all the above mentioned features, the phone is initially priced at $399, however with a new contract as well as some rebate, the price should come down significantly.
