Online games review

I just had more fun than I have had in years, playing one of the first qualitygames that I ever played on a PC. The game that made me remember all those happy times is Prince of Persia, a true classic game, requiring players to escape from the prison and rescue the princess. The scenario is that the evil Vizier prince has staged a coup to get rid of the benign Sultan, and he also captured the sands of time. If he releases these it will spell disaster for the world as we know it – just the kind of challenge I relish first thing in the morning. You get an eight minute time limit to reach the Vizier’s throne room and prevent him from releasing the sands of time. I thought the days of good quality free games were over, but it seems as if they are still around and the graphics quality is better than ever. I played Prince of Persia at Play Sushi, needless to say the Princess stayed in her tower and I could not release her in the given time!

Next I tried something that should be a little calmer – Around the World in eighty days.  This is from the famous Jules Verne novel, where the player has to negotiate the way around the globe using different means of transport to meet the time limit.  When you play these kind of online games you have to swap items in order to secure your passage. I did my best to adopt my best Phileas Fogg persona and it was easy with the nostalgic graphics that have been used for this game.  But I found the shifting of counters to make the swaps quite tedious.

I guess like most players I prefer the shooting adventure games when I play.  There were hundreds to choose from, and you could while away many hours on Playsushi.  When you run out of free games, there are premium levels as weel – kids can never get bored if it rains now.
